Looking at past personal statements is an excellent way to inspire your own, and we have hundreds for you to browse – good AND bad! Think about their strengths and weaknesses, then apply those principles to your own.

You can either use the subject drop-down on the left, or the word search bar on the right hand side for key words, e.g. ‘football’ or ‘volunteering’.

Warning! It should go without saying that this is NOT a place for you to copy other people’s work because:

  • That would be cheating, and cheating is wrong!
  • You are likely to be found out through the software UCAS use (called CopyCatch)
  • You will fail at interview when asked questions about something you haven’t done
  • Without thinking about your dedication to the subject you will not make the right choice
