Inside EY
If you truly want to understand business you need to be on the inside. Ernst & Young is one of the leading professional services firms in the world, with offices in 140 countries worldwide and with more than 110,000 employees - it is a fascinating environment and an excellent place to learn how businesses really work.
Although we have 21 offices and 8,000 people across the UK, ultimately we go where our clients need us to be - that's the difference at Ernst & Young, we are constantly looking for ways to reach that little bit higher and stretch that little bit further, to give our clients the outstanding services they deserve, and our people the careers they demand.
By connecting our people's talents, Ernst & Young provides solutions to clients based on financial, transactional and risk-management knowledge in its core services of audit, tax and corporate finance. We help companies, from entrepreneurial start-ups to major multinationals reach their goals by providing financially based assurance and advice.
We want you to share our ambition and help us build lasting relationships based on doing the right thing. We want your energy and enthusiasm and we want you to want to lead, maybe not today, but certainly in the future. We expect you to want to be respected by both your peers and your clients and we hope that the best compliment we can pay you is to applaud your integrity.
Ernst & Young prides itself as being an equal opportunities employer. At Ernst & Young, when we talk of attracting the best people to our business, we don't lower the bar, we widen it. We recruit, develop and promote people on merit as opposed to time served, thereby maximising the potential of our workforce, regardless of background.
At Ernst & Young we believe that diversity and inclusiveness are not only the right things to do, but they bring energy, innovation and creativity.
Helping you decide your future
At Ernst & Young we offer the perfect environment - a combination of inspiring programmes, knowledge and excellent support. We appreciate that it is difficult to make an informed decision about your future if you don't have all the facts. That's why we offer undergraduates the opportunity to work with us and get to know the firm and the job you'll do before you commit.
Whether you are currently looking for an internship, an industrial placement or want to train while you study, we have the right programme to meet you needs.
The Ernst & Young Degree
The EY Degree is brought to you through the partnership between Ernst & Young, Lancaster University Management School and the Institute of Chartered Accountants Scotland (ICAS). The EY Degree offers students one of the best placement degrees in the UK. It is designed to help you fast-track your professional career by completing many of your professional exams while at university and incorporating up to 18 months work experience with Ernst & Young.
Industrial Placement
We offer 12-month placements in a number of our offices, enabling students to take on a role similar to that of a graduate. The programme enables you to experience what life is like here, and helps you increase your business understanding to develop a wide range of professional and personal skills.
Placements are usually undertaken by undergraduates as part of their degree course in the penultimate year to incorporate a year's work experience into their course.
Work Experience
We offer a number of students the opportunity to gain two weeks of real work experience during the Easter holidays. The programme provides students with a taster of life within a professional services firm in either Tax or Technology Security Risk Services practices.
This programme is open to first years, finalists and postgraduates who meet our academic and selection criteria.
Summer Internships
Our Summer Internship Programme is a way for you to find out more about us, and for us to find out more about you. It involves you working in a real job, with high expectations and tough demands.
All of the above programmes will help you gain valuable work experience, enhance your skills set and develop a real understanding of a professional services firm.
At Ernst & Young, we want you to realise your full potential and help us make a real difference.
