Thinking of working for a charity?

With such a large number of charities in the UK, they are constantly on the hunt for graduates who can bring a breath of fresh air. Charities look for candidates who show a natural interest in charity work, volunteering and demonstrate compassion. Volunteering work both before and during university is a great way to start your career within this sector. There are lots of charities who look for students to give up some of their time to help with certain projects. From mentoring, to office work, to fundraising and marketing - the choices are endless. It's worth contacting your student's union as many universities have volunteering societies which run special projects just for students. Volunteering is a brilliant way to give something back whilst developing important skills which employeers look for.
