Pathways to STEM

Pathways to STEM looks to encourage students to explore the various STEM courses and career options available to them. The programme offers work placements, mentoring, academic taster sessions and skills workshops, with the aim of raising students’ aspirations and allowing them to make an informed decision about their future. Pathways to STEM is run in conjunction with the universities of Nottingham and York.

Established in 2006, this is the largest initiative of its kind. This programme was developed to widen access to the legal profession and raise students’ aspirations. Students are offered real-life experience with a work placement, and mentoring and networking opportunities.

Launched in 2016, this is a new and exciting programme that has been established to widen access to the digital sector, and address the skills shortage in technology. The programme aims to inspire students to explore a range of careers in the digital sector, by building the essential technical skills and sector knowledge.

Launched in 2017, Pathways to Banking and Finance is a programme designed to inspire and support students to explore a range of careers in the banking and finance sector. The programme offers a residential, work experience, skills workshops, mentoring as well as opportunities to network with those already in the industry sector. The programme is run in conjunction with the London School of Economics (LSE) and the University of Warwick.
