Admissions Tests
Places on the top university courses have become increasingly competitive in recent years, and more applicants than ever achieve top grades and receive excellent references from their schools.
In response to this, new admissions tests are now used in certain subjects with the aim of providing an alternative method of assessing a candidate's aptitude, in addition to your exam results and personal statement. Since the tests assess potential, actual knowledge is less critical to success than learning and practising the skills needed for a high mark.
As such, these tests are important but remember are only an alternative method of assessment and should be seen as another way to demonstrate your strengths rather than something to be concerned about!
