How can I get involved more?
If you would like to receive help with writing an outstanding personal statement, hear about the latest student finance information and get help with selecting the right career then come to a PP: Sixth event next summer! Pure Potential has once again teamed up with six leading universities to host FREE university and career events for state-educated Year 12s.
Now in our ninth year running, PP: Sixth events are aimed at bright state school students who have the potential to achieve at least 300 UCAS points and will be applying to university.
What will be covered?
The Personal Statement Masterclass: students will receive advice on how to plan, structure and write an outstanding personal statement during our 90-minute masterclass. Our presenter has over 30 years of experience in advising students and will lead your students through the ins and outs of personal statement writing. We guarantee that your students will walk away from our event with a draft statement which they can continue working on in school and over the summer holidays.
Student Finance: a snap-shot of the latest changes in finance, the real cost of going to university, how repayments are calculated and tips on how to budget.
University Life: the host university will give students an overview of what it’s like studying at the university and how to select the right course and university.
Industry Workshops: students will have the unique opportunity to attend an industry workshop run by leading graduate employers in industries such as accountancy, investment banking, medicine, law, retail and teaching.
