For the fifth year running Pure Potential organised an event in collaboration with leading law firms at the College of Law's Moorgate campus in London on Tuesday, 26th March 2013.
At PP: Law, our presenter and special panellist offer students:
- An insight into working in the industry and share their experiences of completing the LPC and GDL
- Advice on applying to vacation schemes and training contracts
- Tips on how to develop their interview skills and answer challenging competency questions
Visit the offices of a top law firm
In addition, students have the rare opportunity to visit the offices of one of our prestigious law firms to participate in a case study with recent trainees, go on an office tour, and meet members of the graduate recruitment team as well as associates and partners whilst they network over refreshments.
The following law firms participated in PP: Law 2013:

2012 Event Feedback
Here is some feedback and comments from students who attended PP: Law:
98% of students who attended PP: Law stated that the event significantly improved their understanding of a career in law, 89% of students felt more confident about applying to a top law firm and 100% of attendees said they would recommend the event to others.
"The application process seemed daunting before attending the event. It seemed complicated and lengthy, however, after speaking with trainees who were once where I am, everything seems so much more simpler. I am aware it's not as easy as they make it out to be, but the fact that I have been given first hand information on the application process by people whose applications have been successful, it aids my confidence in applying and gives me some hope of some success."
"Being able to meet solicitors and trainees was probably the highlight for me because it allowed me to ask questions about the actual work and life in the career rather than just about the process of getting there. I would definitely recommend it to anyone interested in a legal career!"
"I cannot begin to tell you how much fun I had today. I got to visit a magic circle firm, and hear candidly from trainees 'what a life in the day of' a city solicitor involves. This event has given me so much drive to exceed and make it as a city solicitor."
