Insight events can provide students with the perfect opportunity to explore their future career, job and industry, which not only contributes to helping them to make an informed decision, but it can provide the perfect stepping stone for future work opportunities.
In 2013, Pure Potential worked with two leading law firms to host two bespoke insight events for sixth form students who were interested in pursuing a career in the legal sector…

Breaking barriers was certainly what Norton Rose Fulbright did with their Legal Insight Event for 40 students. Pure Potential worked with Norton Rose Fulbright to develop the programme for the event, marketing and recruited the students and helped with the running of the event on the day. Students were invited to their offices where they networked with trainees and associates over lunch, had the chance to hear about different parts of the business from senior partners at the firm and developed their negotiation skills during a team challenge.
The event was highly successful and we received exceptional feedback from the students:
Events like this are so difficult to come by, but I am so happy that I was selected – I learned a lot about what the legal industry has to offer and where I want to be in the future. I am definitely going to apply for a job at the firm!
Overall this was an exceptional insight day and I really valued the opportunity to get an insight into a firm such as Norton Rose Fulbright.
A Day in the Life of Lawyer was an open day hosted by top law firm Wragge & Co. They opened their doors to 90 Year 12 students from the West Midlands and ran a series of talks, challenges and networking sessions. Pure Potential was responsible for promoting the opportunity to teachers and students in the West Midlands as well as selecting the final candidates.
Wragge & Co. offered 15 impressive students from the open day the opportunity to take part in an on-going programme where they took part in a work placement, work shadowing and mentoring. One fortunate student was then selected to receive a financial bursary at university as part of the programme.
